Pledge to do your bit, and help turn Southampton into one of the greenest cities yet!
You know about recycling, you've heard all about energy saving light
bulbs, now make a pledge to take that step towards being a little bit
greener by just changing one thing! It's easy, it's free and it
feels great!
|
Environmental Rock,
Southampton’s sixth annual environmental awareness and entertainment event, is
packed with information, ideas, tips and activities to help you turn that
little bit greener – helping you make small changes that make a big difference
to your local community, the environment and may even save you money!
Taking place in the Hobbit Pub, Bevois Valley
on Saturday 28th April from 12 noon until 6pm, this year’s
event will focus on three core themes that matter to us all:
- Food and Drink
- Transport and Travel
- Home and Garden
There are heaps of quick and easy
ways to make a difference in all of these areas, and the Hobbit’s large garden will
be split into themed zones to make it even easier to identify which changes you
can make. Once you’ve decided, write your pledge up on one of the boards and
join other guests as we try to make Southampton
one of the greenest cities around.
